Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi marked a significant milestone by laying the foundation stone for the GOR-9 project at DHA Lahore Phase 9, according to news published on January 11.
The project aims at providing housing for Punjab government officers and it will include construction of 29 houses on a 56-kanal allocated land. During the ceremony, Secretary Communication and Works (C&W) briefed attendees about the master plan of GOR-9, emphasizing the strategic layout of the housing project. The Chief Minister issued directives for the swift completion of the project and expressed optimism that the 29 houses would be ready within the stipulated 15-month timeline.
The Chief Minister revealed ongoing consultations with the chief secretary to establish a main GOR near the Mall Road, aiming to alleviate the shortage of official residences and further enhance administrative efficiency.
