Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of the Bhara Kahu bypass project and directed the National Logistics Cell (NLC) to complete the project in three months instead of four months, according to news published on October 1.

As per the details, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman (retired) Captain Mohammad Usman briefed the premier about the Bhara Kahu bypass project before laying the foundation. During the occasion, PM Shehbaz stated that the completion of the bypass will provide relief to the public.
It is pertinent to note that the CDA, recently, awarded the contract for the project to the NLC. The CDA officials (whose names were not disclosed) mentioned that the NLC has mobilised its machinery and work has started last week.

Reportedly, the PM asked the CDA to launch the Bhara Kahu bypass project as soon as possible and complete it within four months. According to the details, the 5-kilometre-long road will start from Muree Road, near the Quaid-e-Azam University stop and will end at Murree Road, near the Jugi bus stop opposite Punjab Cash and Carry. From there, a flyover will start and end outside the Bhara Kahu bazaar towards Murree.
