Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has approved a summary declaring seven former FATA districts as sessions divisions. Session courts will be established in these retitled districts.
Correspondingly, seven posts of district session judges of BPS-21, 14 posts of additional district session judges of BPS-20, seven posts of Senior Civil Judges BPS-19, and 24 posts of civil judges of BPS-18 have also been created.
The districts affected include Khyber, Mohammand, Bajur, Orakzai, Kurram, North Wazirstan, and South Wazirstan. The CM also sanctioned the provision of auxiliary staff for the facilitation and smooth functioning of the justice system in these newly created zones.
The entire structure will cost PKR 545 million annually in operational expenses.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said that 17,000 additional posts have already been approved in various departments for these districts. These jobs will be proportionately distributed among the seven zones, and will prioritise local recruitments.
