Lahore: The Ministry of Interior has formed nine teams composed of members from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the anti-corruption department for the forensic audit of housing schemes in Punjab, according to a news report. The teams will audit the housing schemes in Lahore and the rest of the province, and will look into reports of corruption in some of these schemes.
The Supreme Court (SC) had ordered the forensic audit and investigation of complaints against housing schemes throughout Punjab. SC also ordered FIA and other relevant departments to conduct the operation together. The District Coordination Officers (DCOs) of the relevant districts have also been included in these teams.
