The initiative was launched with a two-hour clean-up campaign of the roads surrounding the Canadian High Commission, which was attended by a large number of people from the diplomatic community. Later, Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Wendy Gilmour and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam gave speeches.
Malik Amin shared several future projects the federal government had in mind for the upcoming months to improve the environment. However, Gilmour chose to emphasise the importance of coming together as a community, regardless of our physical and cultural differences, to create a healthier environment.
