Islamabad: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday (May 11) reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to high-quality and fast-track development of the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) projects and accelerating industrial relocation to Pakistan – especially in CPEC Special Economic Zones, according to news sources.

The newly-appointed foreign minister highlighted his commitment to bringing new momentum to Pak-China bilateral strategic cooperative partnership and creating new avenues for practical cooperation. He held a virtual meeting with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, where both counterparts discussed regional, bilateral and global issues of interest.

Minister Zardari thanked China for its firm support of Pakistan’s economic development and appreciated the transformational impact of CPEC on Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy, socio-economic development and industrialization.
