Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi has extended an invitation to foreign investors and businesses, urging them to explore the promising business and investment opportunities, according to the news reported on November 15.

According to the details, President Alvi emphasised the improved business climate in the country during discussions with a delegation of Oxford Alumni at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday. Led by Haseeb Ahmad, the delegation, comprising Oxford graduates with diverse geographical and business backgrounds, engaged with the president to delve into the potential of conducting business in Pakistan.
Moreover, the president stated that the vast investment opportunities across various sectors of the Pakistani economy portray the nation as an emerging market experiencing annual growth. He elaborated on Pakistan’s strategic focus on economic improvement, with dedicated efforts directed towards boosting exports and identifying new markets for its products.
In addition, he informed the delegation about the establishment of the Specialized Investment Facilitation Cell (SIFC), designed to streamline and facilitate foreign investment in Pakistan. The SIFC acts as a one-window facility, providing comprehensive support to investors navigating the landscape of opportunities in the country. This proactive measure aligns with Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for international investment and fostering economic growth.
In another development, Prime Minster (PM) Anwar ul Haq Kakar extended a heartfelt appeal to overseas Pakistanis, urging them to consider investing in their homeland. In a meeting with a delegation of overseas Pakistanis, spearheaded by Nouman Mustafa, the PM assured comprehensive support and facilities from the government, underlining the administration’s commitment to prioritising the rights of overseas Pakistanis.

During the discussions, PM Kakar underscored the pivotal role of legally and securely transferring remittances from Pakistanis residing abroad for the nation’s overall progress. He expressed a keen interest in fostering a conducive environment for overseas Pakistanis to contribute actively to the country’s advancement.
