As per reports, the card will equip overseas citizens with duty credits whenever they visit Pakistan. To this end, the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis held a meeting chaired by Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman. During the session, the ministry was lauded for its progress. The meeting also discussed the measures required to spread public awareness regarding this remittance card provision.
The meeting’s members remarked that the card would prove to be of great benefit to overseas Pakistanis. However, they gave recommendations to decrease the duration of the transfer process – in order to make this money-transfer mechanism more popular.
