Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) shared statistics that showed the foreign exchange inflows via Roshan Digital Account (RDA) reached USD 2.114 billion by the end of August, according to news published on Wednesday (September 8).

The significant increase in the inflows since June will help strengthen the national economy and place the government in a better position to face the expected current account deficit incurred in the fiscal year 2021-2022 (FY22).
As per the details shared, Naya Pakistan Certificate’s share in the total inflows was USD 1,475 million. According to the data shared by SBP, the inflows of the country was recorded at USD 370 million in July and USD 310 million in June 2021.

It is important to mention that the RDA was launched in September 2020, and soon it attracted inflows of USD 7 million. From September to December 2020, the inflows rose exponentially, reaching USD 250 million.
