Mr Mahmood revealed that these countries were using this technology not just for watering crops but also for receiving fresh water. This approach is being used by several governments on an experimental basis. The chief conservator revealed that initially some 100 trees will be planted and the department has finalised some parts of Rawalpindi for the installation of fog collectors. It was highlighted that this technology works best in locations where water volume in fog is considerable.
