Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday invited Sri Lankan businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter at the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Trade and Investment Conference in Colombo.

He said that the Pakistani government had introduced various ease-of-doing business initiatives in a bid to promote the country’s housing and real estate sector, adding that the executive was commitment to making Pakistan a hub of peace, prosperity, and economy.

In response, Sri Lanka’s commerce minister proposed increase collaboration between the two countries in addition to ‘engagement at people-to-people level in the field of education and health’. He also praised Islamabad for its efforts geared towards the development of geo-economics.
