Faisalabad: The local police department and Rangers personnel recently held a flag march in the city to ensure business and markets closure during the city’s going lockdown period — a news source reported. As per the publication, the markets in the city remained closed over the last three days.

The shops and commercial areas remained closed in all major parts of the city as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the government. These areas included Jalvi Market, Jaranwala Road, Satiana Road, Jeddah Market, Mansoorabad, Jinnah Colony, Ghulam Muhammadabad, Sheikhupura Road, and Lakar Mandi, among others.

According to the reports, the city’s residents have appreciated the government’s measures to lockdown the businesses effectively in view of the coronavirus precautions.
Reportedly, in addition to the aforementioned measures, now anyone found roaming outside unnecessarily may have to face questioning by the police. The law enforcement agencies also plan on establishing check-points to stop unnecessary movement in an effort to make the lockdown fully effective.
