The Government of Punjab has recently approved five uplift schemes in the province which are expected to complete with an estimated cost of Rs 7996.324 million. The approval was granted in 39th meeting of provincial development working party. The meeting was presided over by Javaid Aslam, who is the development board chairman. The schemes which have been approved include the following:
• At Mana Ahmadani, construction of concrete silos in DJ Khan with an estimated cost of Rs 926.993 million.
• Construction of Lahore Ring Road under package -17 starting from Khaira distributory to Ferozepur Road at an estimated cost of Rs 259.974 million.
• From MAO College to Bhaati Chowk construction at the length of 2.1 km (package-IV) with an estimated cost of Rs 3078.889 million.
• Construction at Rawalpindi in the establishment of Institute of Urology and Transplantation with an estimated cost of Rs 3334.468 million.
• Rehabilitation of emergency services with an estimated cost of Rs 396 million in all the major cities of Punjab.
