Lahore: The Government of Punjab has decided to launch a fish farming project along the bank of River Ravi where land will be leased to overseas Pakistanis, reported a news source. These farms will be set up according to international standards.
Different options to bring in foreign investment for the project are also being discussed, where more suggestions are invited. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has instructed the departments concerned to share the related proposals in two weeks.
Initially, it has been decided that land for setting up fish farms will be on lease and via license to overseas Pakistanis through a one-window operation.
