Islamabad: The director general of the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) shared that the first shipment of devices to be used for the digital census 2023 general elections will reach the country on August 20, according to news published on August 4.

A meeting was held with Federal Minister for Planning Development & Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal in the chair and was attended by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) chief and the director general of NADRA. The minister was informed that the first digital census has been successfully completed. During the meeting, the authorities were asked to prepare a draft so it can be submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Council of Common Interest (CII) for the digital census.

Moreover, the director general informed that the training of the staff for the census will start after the devices reach the country from China. The minister directed the relevant officials to conduct independent verification of the training.
