Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) had been ready with special plans for the rains of winter, a news source reported. An additional number of workers had been assigned to low-lying areas of the city in anticipation of the waste management tasks.
The workers cleared the drains and pipes during the rain so that there won’t be any sewerage or drainage issues. Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner/Chairman RWMC Dr. Umar Jahangir, the timely action by RWMC staff ensured that no sewerage issues arose in the city at any point during or after the rains.
