Islamabad: The Airbus A380, which is the world’s biggest passenger airplane, is to land for the first time in Pakistan on July 8, 2018, a news source reported. The plane will land with 650 people on board at 12:30 AM in Islamabad International Airport. The event is attributed as a “landmark in the aviation history of Pakistan”, as very few airports in the world can accommodate an A380.
The Civil Aviation Authority has extended permission to an airline from the Middle East to land the plane in Pakistan, which will be flying from Dubai.
The giant, double-decker Airbus weighs 577 tons and stands 80 feet high from the ground, while it can accommodate as many as 868 passengers. The first commercial fight of the A380 started in 2007, today, all well-known airlines of the world have A380s in their fleet.
