Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has prepared the first draft of its budget for the next fiscal year, according to a news report. The budget does not include any megaprojects as LDA will not construct any during the next fiscal year.
LDA budget is expected to have a volume of PKR 15.39 billion. While no megaprojects will be constructed next year, budget will be allocated for LDA Tower Complex approved in the last meeting of the governing body. A budget of PKR 10 billion has been recommended for the project.
LDA has prepared the recommendations for setting PKR 14.5 billion as income targets. It has also been suggested that PKR 4 billion will be the target non-development income. Meanwhile, to increase the resources, the recommendations to increase Commercial Fee and to reduce the budget on sale of properties are under consideration.
PKR 1800 million are expected to be allocated for salaries, while PKR 2750 million will be allocated for operation and maintenance.
