Lahore: The financial and technical proposals received from the short-listed candidates for consultants on Lahore Master Plan 2050 have been opened in the latest meeting of LDA’s consultant selection committee – a news source reported on November 18. This is the final stage for the selection of the consultant.

The meeting was chaired by LDA Director General Ahmed Aziz Tarar. The financial and technical bids had been submitted by three companies, which had been announced by LDA in September. These included the Singapore-based company Mine Heart, Lebanon-based firm Dar Al-Hindsa, and the National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK).

The plan will be prepared with a view of city’s needs until 2050 and will encompass the entire Lahore division since the authority’s jurisdiction had been extended to the entire division through a 2013 amendment in the LDA Act 1975.
