Lahore: The Punjab Finance Department on Wednesday provided its approval to the development of four new projects worth PKR 3.5 million, a news source reported. This sanction was notified during the 20th meeting of the Standing Committee of Cabinet on Finance and Development.

Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, during a press briefing, stated that the finance ministry had approved a number of projects during its. He said that the authority provided its Approval to the acquisition of six kanals of land for the construction of the Lahore-Multan bypass circle project, as well as for the construction of a 500-bed THQ hospital in Chakwal.

Further, the construction of anti-terrorism courts complex was also permitted under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Other than that, payment of salaries for Mianwali local government officials was approved along with the shifting of the Lahore High Court Multan Bench.
The meeting postponed the approval for the construction of a Child Protection and Welfare Bureau office for Kasur and the construction of a South Punjab Secretariat until further notice.
