Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (FIEDMC) plans to add 3,000 acres of land to its already acquired 4,500 acres for the second phase of M3 Industrial Estate, a news source quoted Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President Syed Zia Alamdar Hussain. He was talking to a three-member delegation of China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
Hussain, while briefing the delegation on the launch of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) phase two, stressed the need for technology transfer between the two countries. He added that a strategy should be developed in this regard.
He said that M3 Industrial Estate, which is strategically located along the Motorway, has already been declared a special economic zone under CPEC. Such a location, he said, would be used to export products – including wheat, milk and vegetables – to China and Central Asian States through Gwadar.
All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association Chairman and Deputy General Manager of the CRBC Lie Zie Huwe briefed the FCCI president about investment opportunities in the special economic zones of Rashakai and Hatthar.
