Lahore: The Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) has announced its decision to reserve 100 acres of land in its Special Economic Zones (SEZs) for setting up industrial units, according to a news source.
FIEDMC Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq revealed that the company had already held meetings with LCCI President Almas Hyder, Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad and other officials, and would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the LCCI for this purpose.

A delegation from LCCI, headed by Almas Hyder is expected to visit the SEZs M3 Industrial City and Allama Iqbal Industrial City on September 5 and later visit the central FIEDMC quarters. It was also announced that if the LCCI members expressed an inclination to buy land is SEZs, they would be given allotment letters during the upcoming visit.
Moreover, the chairman said that industrial units with immediate and small land requirements would be accommodated in the M3 Industrial City, and the industrialists who aspire to work on the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) projects in SEZs will be given land in the Allama Iqbal Industrial City.

He suggested for LCCI to set up an information forum to extend on-spot guidance to the interested parties with regard to land allotment in the SEZs.
