Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) will construct 1,200 flats in Islamabad’s Sector G-6, said the foundation’s Chairman Akram Khan Durrani. The decision has been taken to address the accommodation problems federal government employees have been facing for a while now.
The flats will be constructed by demolishing the decades old houses in this block. According to Durrani, out of the 406 houses, 172 have been recovered from land grabbers. In order to retrieve possession of the remaining houses, he believed having a dedicated force to conduct such operations would be more effective. Reportedly, a summary in this regard has already been sent to the Prime Minister.
