Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has forwarded a summary to the authorities concerned proposing the relocation of ‘illegal occupants’ from Sector G-14/1 to G-15 – according to news sources. According to the foundation, this process of ‘settlers’ readjustment’ will be completed within a timeframe of three months following the proposal’s approval.
As per officials, Sector G-14/1 remain under ‘illegal occupation’ by dwellers who have been paid by the foundation. The occupants, however, maintain that they have not been paid in full.

Moreover, the FGEHF has sought the Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s approval with regard to the auction of several commercial plots situated in the G-14/1 locality. This sector was announced in 2014 and its sub-sector G-14/4 is already completed. The Sub-Sectors G-14/2 and 3 are still in the process of being developed.
Previously, during a Senate Standing Committee on Housing meeting chaired by Senator Mir Kabir Ahmed Shai, the officials concerned discussed the Sub-sector G-14 plot allotment issue. The meeting was informed that people were waiting for the possession of plots they had paid for 10-15 years ago. In response, the committee summoned the Chief Commissioner Islamabad and the Chairman CDA to discuss the matter further.
