Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) and a private firm have reached an agreement for the Green Enclave phase-I housing scheme, a news source reported. As per the agreement between the two sides, they will build the housing project in the Bara Kahu area of the federal capital.

This development comes as a welcome news for government employees in the city. For the construction of Green Enclave phase-I, land measuring 700 kanals has already been transferred to the FGEHF.
FGEHF operates under the Federal Ministry of Housing & Works, and had previously reached an agreement regarding Green Enclave. The foundation was tasked with developing the scheme spanning over 3,600 kanals of land.

The embarked land for the project was largely located in mountainous areas. This caused delays in the development of the housing scheme. Now, the private company has procured an alternative piece of land and provided it to FGEHF.
