Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has come under scrutiny for advertising properties in the G-12 and F-12 sectors without obtaining prior approval from its Executive Board, according to the news published on September 18.

As per the details, the overall 7,450 unauthorized residential and commercial listings have raised concerns among officials and have prompted Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, who also serves as the Housing Minister, to take notice of the situation. The PM has instructed the Housing Secretary to prepare a detailed report on the matter.

It is worth noting that an initial assessment of Built-Up Properties (BuP) in these sectors reveals a total of 6,500 residential properties and 950 commercial properties, with plot sizes ranging from 139 square yards to 500 square yards. The tentative prices for these properties vary from PKR 8,340,000 to PKR 30,000,000.
