Islamabad: Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) Director General Captain (retired) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal disclosed on Monday that the authority has initiated 12 housing and apartment projects in the capital from 2001 to 2023, as disclosed in a news article on February 20.

According to the details, the project has accumulated a total collection of PKR 56 billion thus far. In a session of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works, chaired by Haji Hidayatullah Khan, DG Zafar Iqbal clarified that funds had been collected from eligible candidates who qualified for the respective schemes.
Regarding project updates, it was reported that G-14/1, G-14/2, and G-14/3 are partially completed, with an approved project cost of PKR 6,127.90 million for G-14/1 and PKR 1,499.43 million for G-14/2 and G-14/3. Meanwhile, G-15/3 is also partially completed, with 404 plots available for possession, and an approved project cost of PKR 1,453.866 million.

The officials highlighted that the contract for the land in G-14-1 is pending, encountering significant Build-up Property issues, resulting in the cancellation of plots. However, they noted that 50 Kanal (1%) of G-14-1 has been cleared.
