Islamabad: The Federal Government Employee Housing Authority (FGEHA) has decided to launch residential projects in eight cities across the country for federal government employees and the general public, news sources reported on January 12.

Under the project, FGEHA will launch plots, housing, and apartment projects in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, and Karachi. As per the authority’s spokesperson, the FGEHA management is already in the process of acquiring land and has invited applications from landowners, private developers, and construction companies for the proposed project. The project application and land acquisition process are being undertaken as per the rules and regulations laid down in the Joint Venture Regulations, 2020.

Briefing the media about the various other projects undertaken by FGEHA, the spokesperson said that work on various development projects is taking place at a rapid pace, with apartments ready for possession in the coming months. The spokesperson also said that at present, work is taking place on 3,432 apartments in the Chaklala Scheme and 3,945 apartments in the Skyline Apartments project.
