Islamabad: The Federal Government Housing Authority (FGEHA) on Monday (June 06) asked affiliated contractors working on its apartments and housing projects to expedite the pace of construction work, news sources reported.

The decision to expedite the work was taken during a meeting of the FGEHA board, which was chaired by Minister for Housing and Works Maulana Abdul Wasey.
The meeting asked contractors to hasten work on Kashmir Avenue Apartments, G-13 Chaklala Heights and Skyline Apartments, Islamabad. Minister Wasay asked the authorities to ensure timely completion and delivery of the apartments to the government employees.

It must be highlighted that there are 3,432 apartments in the Chaklala Scheme, while the Skyline Apartments comprise a total of 3,945 units. The Kasmir Avenue Apartments are located in G-13 and are made up of three buildings, each having three basements and twenty-one floors. According to previous reports, the housing ministry has issued 796 Provisional Offer Letters (POLs) for the A-Category units, while 857 were sent for the B-Category units in Kashmire Avenue Apartments. It was also revealed that the administration has revoked 184 POLs due to nonpayment of fees.

It is important to note that FEGHA has launched several apartment projects for federal government employees in Islamabad and Balochistan.
