Islamabad: The federal government has tasked Federal Government Employee Housing Authority (FGEHA) with achieving a number of housing targets under the government’s flagship Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) – a news source reported on November 9. The authority is pursuing joint venture with private investors on private land and government to government programs on government land.

The government has also revived a number of housing projects which are now under the ambit of FGEHA including Green Enclave-I Bhara Kahu project (revived in December 2019) under which 3,282 plots have been allotted to the applicants. FGEHA also allotted 5,198 plots under Sky Garden project in July 2020 and 3,240 units under Lifestyle Residency Apartments in G-13, Islamabad.

Other projects include Kashmir Avenue G-13 Islamabad which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister to build 1,467 apartments, while 3,432 apartments will be built under Chaklala Heights Rawalpindi, 3,945 apartments under SkyLine Apartments Islamabad and 1,258 under Lifestyle Residency Lahore.
