Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Board of Directors held an emergency meeting to review the preventative measures taken in view of the COVID-19 pandemic – where the company’s director general stressed the need for ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity to the consumers – a news source reported.

The board also stressed the need for ensuring the safety of FESCO employees. Speaking during the meeting, Board of Directors Chairman Khurram Mukhtar directed the relevant officials to ensure presence of hand sanitizers at all the customer service centres, sub-divisional and divisional complaint offices, and field offices.

The general manager of operations informed the meeting that all the necessary staff will be available at their stations. He further said that emergency control rooms have been established at the circle and divisional levels and supply of electricity to hospitals, quarantine centres, and medical laboratories will be ensured.
