Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to run feeder buses on different routes in Islamabad so people can have access to metro buses, according to news published in the national dailies on July 6.

A CDA meeting was recently held under Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed. The CDA senior officials (whose names were not disclosed) discussed the intracity feeder service and its feasibility with experts from universities – the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). The meeting also discussed proposals to prepare a feasibility study on the feeder routes.

It was disclosed that the experts from the universities will prepare the feasibility study within two months and the civic agency will operate buses on the identified routes. The CDA officials informed that 10 buses will ply on Green Line bus service routes while 15 on Blue Line routes. As per the details, the two electric feeder buses will bring people from Bhara Kahu Chowk to Jillani terminal and from PWD to Koral terminal.
