Islamabad: The federal government has decided to issue an ordinance on matters relating to the the settlement of land claims in Islamabad — a news source reported on December 21. Reportedly, the draft of the ordinance will be discussed in the upcoming meeting of the cabinet.

According to the details available, the new law will be brought into force through an amendment in the Capital Development Authority laws. The amendment titled Capital Development Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2020 will be discussed by the by cabinet tomorrow.
One of the major agendas of the meeting includes the matter of providing compensation to land owners. A new clause will be inserted into the laws to resolve the common troubles that usually arise in land sharing matters.

The government has also decided to include joint ventures within the laws, while another clause is expected to be inserted in the ordinance allowing it to override other related laws.
