Swati expressed his views on the matter at a meeting of the Senate Functional Committee on Government Assurances; chaired by Senator Fida Muhammad at the Parliament Lodges on Friday (December 20).
The committee directed the Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society (FECHS) secretary to transfer the possession of 150 developed plots to the Jinnah Garden allottees within 60 days. Issues pertaining to the layout plan of FECHS were also discussed at the meeting. The dispute between the society management and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) also came under discussion.

Senator Fida Muhammad noted that the committee had been given assurance that the developed plots would be transferred to the allottees within 60 days, but it had not been done. He also noted that a number of Senate and National Assembly employees had booked plots in Jinnah Garden and paid their instalments regularly, but these individuals have yet to receive plots possession.
