Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has started issuing smart cards to residential and commercial property owners falling within its jurisdiction, according to news published on April 14.

The FDA-issued cards aim to digitize records and prevent any possibility of fraudulent practices, forgery or tampering with documents. FDA Operation Director Qaseem Alvi has offered details regarding the features of these cards – which will ensure the safety and security of property files.
The director stated that the digitalisation of plot files will help protect data against fire incidents, thefts or other incidents. He further stated that the implementation of the smart card system will prompt efficient management and transparency in property transactions.
