Faisalabad: The newly-established Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Khidmat Markaz on Wednesday fixed the timelines for processing all applications pertaining to building plans, private housing schemes, and other related construction matters on the directives of the Punjab government, according to news sources.

FDA Director General (DG) Suhail Khawaja made the announcement while chairing a meeting held to review the progress of the Khidmat Markaz. He said that 30 working days are fixed to process the building plan approval applications and the issuance of building completion certificates, separately. However, a timeline of 45 days has been announced for land-use conversion approval applications.
Additionally, the preliminary housing societies plan approvals will be granted in 21 days. For the approval of housing scheme maps, 28 days will be given and 11 working days are set to issue the final approval for private residential schemes. The applicants will be required to submit all relevant documents to facilitate the approvals on time.

Khawaja said that the Khidmat Markaz was working alongside the one-window counter to promote development in the construction sector – as envisioned by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar. He further revealed that several new initiatives have been taken to improve the service quality of the authority and in turn, to boost the city’s development.
