Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) recently launched a crackdown against illegal housing schemes in the city, a news source reported. As per the publication, during this clampdown the authority managed to seal several such developments, and also demolished illegally constructed structures within these societies.

The FDA demolition squad took action against the illegal housing schemes situated on Sargodha Road and several other locations in the suburbs of Faisalabad. These unlawful housing societies were identified earlier this week for carrying out development activities and selling property without first obtaining an approval from the FDA.

In addition to sealing the sites and sales offices of these illegal housing schemes, and demolishing illegally constructed buildings within these developments, the FDA also razed encroachments built on Canal Road and on other government properties.

Speaking on the occasion, FDA Director General Muhammad Suhail Khawaja stated that the developers of such unlawful housing schemes would be dealt with impartiality, and operations against such housing societies would continue in the future as well.
