Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) recently sealed five illegal housing societies in the city, a news source reported. An FDA spokesperson expressed his views on the matter during a press briefing held on Wednesday.

During an operation against illegal projects and housing colonies in Faisalabad, the FDA identified five illegal schemes set up in Chak no 2019-RB. These projects were immediately sealed. Further, the development authority demolished illegal structures in Tallianwala area.

The operation was launched on November 13 on the orders of FDA Director General and Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali. Previously, the officials concerned sealed several residential schemes situated on Jaranwala Road. The managements of these housing projects had been selling plots and carrying out development work without the FDA’s approval.
