Faisalabad: In a joint operation carried out by the Anti-Corruption Department and Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), five illegal private housing schemes have been sealed, reported a news source. The operation was carried on orders issued by Anti-Corruption Department Director Mehar Shafqatullah and FDA Director General Chaudhary Amir Aziz.
Under this operation, Environment Control and Development Deputy Director Chaudhary Arshad Iqbal and Town Planning Assistant Director Chaudhary Raheel Ahmed sealed Iqbal Town, Rasheed Town, Bismillah Garden, Junaid Town, and a locally set up community in GB-69. Reportedly, legal action is also being taken against the owners of these societies.
In addition to sealing the projects, main gate and boundary walls of these illegally set up schemes were also demolished. In the meanwhile, cases against these developers have also been submitted before Senior Special Magistrate.
Warning the real estate developers of private housing schemes, Shafqatullah said that cases will be filed against all societies that haven’t been approved by the competent authorities.
