Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) conducted an operation in a private housing scheme on Thursday and retrieved 84 kanals of land earmarked for public utility services, according to news sources.

As per details, these 84 kanals were specified for public utility services. The said operation was conducted by a team of FDA Enforcement Directorate – led by State Officer Imtiaz Goraya. The team inspected various housing scheme to identify any misuse of the land earmarked for public utility services like the establishment of public parks, graveyards, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), education, health and the solid waste management – as per the private housing scheme rules.

The team reclaimed 84-kanals in a private housing scheme – earmarked for a public park and a road and reportedly the developer of the scheme was directed to comply with the rules and regulations defined for the private housing schemes.
Goraya said that the FDA will ensure the protection of residents’ rights with the provision of these basic public services in these housing societies. He asked people to file their complaints in this regard with the authority for timely action.
