The crackdown was launched under the directions of FDA Director General Muhammad Suhail Khawaja, with Estate Officer Imtiaz Goraya leading the enforcement team that conducted the operation.
Goraya initially inspected the private housing scheme in order to identify the land earmarked for public utility. After the 84 kanals of encroached land had been identified, it was vacated by the authority’s officials. Now, the land has been reserved for the establishment of a public park and the construction of a road, for which it was originally intended.

The FDA’s team took possession of the land during its crackdown, and warned the developer of the aforementioned housing society to avoid any violation of rules and regulations in the future. The FDA Director General also took the opportunity to state that such operations would continue around the city in order to ensure that public utility plots were being used for their designated purposes.
