Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) recently put a halt to an illegal construction underway in Madina Town on the directions of Director General Muhammad Sohail Khawaja — a news source reported. As per the publication, the operation was conducted by the FDA’s enforcement team, which halted the construction and then sealed the concerned plot.

According to the details available, the construction in question was violating the approved layout plan for Madina Town. The owner had been issued a notice about the violation of the layout plan but he did not comply. As a result, the enforcement team took action against the society, with the group consisting of Assistant Director Town Planning Muhammad Siddique, Assistant Director Estate Management Imtiaz Goraya, and Encroachment Inspector Muhammad Aslam. The team was also accompanied by a police contingent.

The FDA had recently announced that it would be launching operations against illegal constructions within its jurisdiction, and reportedly this action was a part of that operation. In addition, the authority took the opportunity to announce that it would be continuing with these operations in the future as well.
