Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has identified 114 benami properties in the city and has handed over their details to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), a news source reported.
Earlier in September, the Government of Punjab directed the land development authorities and concerned officials in all the cities in the province to identify benami property transactions, latest by September 30.
The FDA investigated benami property transactions in its administered housing schemes, and has handed over data containing the details of the owners of such properties. Possession of many of these houses and lands had been acquired by people other than the actual owners.
