Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has decided to formulate a policy for allotment of plots in its housing scheme for its employees, a news source reported. The decision was taken in the 100th meeting of the governing body presided over by FDA Chairman Asad Muazzam.
FDA Director General (DG) Aamir Aziz, Water and Sanitation Agency Managing Director Ch. Faqeer Muhammad and others were also present at the meeting. A number of amendments to FDA bylaws and fees were also approved at the meeting.
The Chairman stated that to provide better facilities to the citizens laws should be amended and building bylaws eased. The matter of allotment of plots for FDA employees was brought up by FDA DG and the Chairman agreed that people working to formulate policies for the provision of houses to the public are themselves deprived of plot. He said that allotment of plots should be decided through a lucky draw and the plots provided accordingly.
FDA DG assigned the duty of obtaining the policy from housing department. It was also decided that recommendations will be discussed for provision of relief to katchi abadi residents.
