Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has distributed food rations among needy locals; as per the directions of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, a news source reported.

As per the publication, FDA Director-General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja supervised the rations distribution, while other senior officials including FDA Additional Director-General (ADG) Amer Aziz, Director Estate Management Anam Sajid Mali, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Former Managing Director (MD) Faqir Muhammad Chaudhry were also present on the occasion.

FDA distributed food ration packets of ghee, flour, sugar, pulses, rice, spices and red chillies among the deserving families. The FDA DG emphasised the need for lockdown and was of the view that this was the only way to combat the COVID-19 breakout. He said that despite the lockdown, the government and philanthropists were committed to provision of daily food products to the families-in-need. He further requested the ration recipients to strictly observe precautionary measures against the COVID-19 infection.
