Khawaja further said that before starting commercial activities in a property, a number of legal requirements need to be met. He added that illegal commercialisation causes a number of issues both to the cities and the environment, not to mention losses to the national exchequer due to non-payment of commercialisation fees.
He also stressed that the ban on commercial activities on some roads in FDA areas will be implemented strictly. People violating the ban will have to face action.
He also announced that buildings that are being constructed without the prerequisite approvals will be sealed until the matter is brought to the legal framework.
