Faisalabad: Federal Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry led a meeting in which the ‘Suthra Punjab’ program was reviewed following the directives from Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif, as claimed in a news article on March 19.

According to the details, the focus was on the vital role of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in maintaining drainage and sewage systems for a clean environment. Urgent measures were discussed to achieve the program’s objectives, including strict monitoring of field teams to prevent sewage overflow.
Sustainable strategies were advocated to address ongoing drainage challenges, emphasising continuous sanitation system maintenance. WASA MD Aamir Aziz outlined implementation measures, including sector-wise cleaning and prompt covering of manholes. Citizens were urged to report open manholes and cooperate in preventing theft.
