Faisalabad: Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Annan Qamar has ordered the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) to expedite work on the ongoing development work and beautification drive in the city, news sources reported on February 17.

The DC ordered the administration to take the necessary actions to build roads, overhead bridges, and underpasses. He also ordered the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the beautification drive and a timeline for the completion of the ongoing development projects. The FDA officials also gave a detailed presentation of the road infrastructure development work and regularisation of the city roads and housing societies.

It is pertinent to mention that Faisalabad is the third largest city in the country and is managed by the FDA. The authority oversees 17 commercial marketplaces, 18 residential colonies, and FDA City, a large housing development with seven orchards planted according to a specific theme, in addition to the creation of public parks.
