Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has decided to start issuance of smart cards to property owners during February, a news source reported on January 31.

A meeting was held to review the progress of work being done to digitise the record of properties that fall under FDA-controlled housing schemes and commercial markets. FDA Additional Director General Abid Husain Bhatti, during the meeting, briefed that the smart card will have all property details and will be durable and trustworthy since it will have quality security features. He informed the attendees that the smart card should be comprehensive, credible, and authenticated to seek the full confidence of the property owners.

Moreover, the FDA ADG reviewed the progress of the digitisation task and directed the relevant authorities to complete the task with complete transparency without any delays. ADG Bhatti also formed a six members committee to monitor the progress of digitising records of properties.
