Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) is going to construct a 1.5-kilometre-long dual carriageway linking Samundari Road and Bypass Road under the public-private partnership (PPP) model — a news source reported. The road will be linked to Bypass Road near Rajbah.

The housing schemes located along the route of the proposed road have also shown their willingness to cooperate with the FDA on the matter. FDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Sohail Khwaja visited the project site to determine the next steps that could be taken for its development. On the occasion, he was accompanied by Directors Town Planning Mahr Ayub and Asma Mohsin, Deputy Director Admin Yasir Aijaz Chattha, and representatives of the project developers.

Speaking on the occasion, the FDA DG said that his administration had placed a special focus on infrastructural development, since it is the most important component for the city’s progress.
